Radiation safety services address a hazard that’s often overlooked or not taken seriously enough. Radiation control measures tend to get implemented only after harm has already occurred, which is why proactive assessment matters more here than in most other hazard categories.

Our Radiation Safety Services

• Initial baseline survey of non-ionizing and ionizing radiation from handheld equipment used by workers (for example, radiographic inspection of welds)
• Assessment of the task and identification of individuals affected by it, both directly and indirectly
• Identification of control measures, using the hierarchy of controls applied to the task being performed
• Implementation of safe systems of work to minimise harm from radiation

Radiation safety services are one part of a complete risk assessment approach, applying the same hierarchy of controls we follow for every hazard category.

Please note we are not radiation supervisors and do not provide active or passive radiation sampling equipment; we provide the expertise needed to manage radiation exposure.
