By Jacquot Health & SafetyJacquot Health & Safety delivers dry dock health and safety management for vessel refurbishment projects, from initial risk assessment through final sign-off.
We reduce risk by identifying hazards before they become incidents, applying the principles of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 across every stage of a project. Our approach treats dry dock health and safety as a continuous discipline, not a checklist completed once and filed away.
Dry Dock Health and Safety, the Way Operators Expect It
We work lean, and that’s by design: no layers of bureaucracy between you and the team managing your site’s safety. You deal directly with the people doing the assessments, not a rotating cast of account managers. That direct access means faster decisions, clearer communication, and safety management that adapts to your schedule rather than the other way around.
Jacquot Health & Safety was founded in 2021, built on firsthand experience working dry docks across Marseille, La Ciotat, and Brest along the French coast, and Vancouver in Canada, including time spent onboard vessels directly as a fire watch, not just observing the work from a desk. We know what the job actually requires because we’ve done it, and that experience shapes how we plan assessments, brief teams, and communicate risk to the people who need to act on it.
We operate across the European Union. Projects outside the EU can be considered on a case-by-case basis but aren’t part of our standing service area.
Built for Long-Term Partnership
Our goal is to build long-term partnerships with dry docks and shipyards, delivering safety management that’s rigorous, responsive, and easy to work with, project after project. See our full range of HSE services to find out how we can support your next refurbishment.
Fire Safety
Fire incidents can ruin a business overnight. Fire safety is our highest priority and our strongest area of expertise.
Confined Spaces
Within confined spaces, all risks are increased by their very nature, which makes proper administrative HSE oversight especially important.
Risk Assessing
Risk Assessment is the first step towards avoiding negligence and more importantly
mitigating incidents & accidents
Occupational Exposure Limit
Continuous monitoring of OELs is essential to providing a healthy and safe environment for employees working in environments with potentially high LTEL or STEL.
Work at Height
People often prioritise the task over safety when working at height, which is why it's essential to enforce safe systems of work for these tasks.
Lifting tasks
We ensure every lift involving heavy machinery is properly planned, with safe working loads, equipment checks, and a competent person overseeing the operation.
Lockout & Tagout
As part of our permit-to-work system, we assess, plan, and manage lockout/tagout tasks through safe systems of work.
Radiation
Radiation hazards are often overlooked or not taken seriously enough. We provide services that mitigate radiation risks as far as reasonable possible.
Vibration, WBV, and HAV
Administrative HSE is essential to prevent the health effects of WBV and HAV, since employees are often unaware of the potential risks posed by the tools and vehicles they use.
Noise
In most cases, the physical and psychological effects of noise on health go unnoticed until it's too late, by which point the damage is no longer reversible.
Biological Agents
The COVID-19 pandemic made clear how important biological health and safety is, as it crippled economies both globally and locally.
